There are some incredible cities in the world with amazing things to see and experience. The city of lights is one such city boasting some of the world’s best food, theatre, and iconic monuments. If you’re looking for an excuse to visit Paris, you’re in the right place.
Some may be obvious and some you’ve probably never heard of. Together they make up my first ten reasons why you should visit Paris.
Reasons to visit Paris
One of the most iconic landmarks in the world and the obvious first choice for reasons to visit the wonderful city of Paris: it is of course the Eiffel Tower!
Located in Montmartre in the north of the city, Le Sacré Coeur is one of my favourite tourist spots in Paris with incredible views out over the city of love!
If you’ve ever been to Paris you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. There is nothing quite like sitting on the terrace of a café in the crisp morning air and watching the city come to life as you slowly drink a coffee.
Cour St Emilion is one of my favourite spots in the city with loads of great restaurants and a cinema.
Big cities always feature loads of great burger places and Paris is no exception. One of my favourite places to grab one is The Lizard Lounge.
For a real taste of Paris, head to Notre Dame and watch the caricaturists at work.
Without a doubt one of the most famous landmarks of all in Paris, l’Arc de Triomphe is an incredible sight which dramatically honours the heroes of French military history.
If you come to Paris and you don’t go to Angelina’s for hot chocolate, you’re really missing out! Thick and sumptuous, it is truly unique.
Something of a tradition among young people and students in Paris is sitting down by the river, eating cheese and drinking wine. A great experience for anyone who wants to feel like a true Parisian.
One of my favourite things about Paris is the culture, in particular the theatre. There are hundreds and theatres and hundreds of productions everyday, amateur and professional, large and small. You can see something new every single day.
For discount theatre tickets I recommend BilletReduc.
